Baking is not consistence, the heat drops to quickly when you open the door. I have calibrated the oven temperature and it's still not right. Range does have a consistent temperature on low, medium or high. I have had an electric stove for 40 years and always a GE. Not sure this was a good purchase this time around.

Bought this range to replace a 12 year old GE glass top. The new WiFi futures are a great convenience plus the speed in which boiling temps are achieved are amazing. This range in conjunction with our hex clad low heat pots and pans are a great combination. The oven preheats quickly and the notifications through the app are great.

This range is working fine for us. We have use the cooktop but yet to use the oven. By biggest struggle with this Range was getting it connected to my home WiFi. The manual I downloaded didn™€™t offer any direct steps to connected the range to WiFi. After contacting IT support and have the specialist walk me through the process I was successful in finally getting the range connected to my home network.,

Generally good BUT the seal of the glass top is rough along the back , about 6 inches, and not well filled on the back right. Whether these two flaws in the seal will cause future problems is a question. A bit more quality control WOULD BE GOOD TO CONSIDER!

Takes forever to Preheat!

This oven looks very nice and it fit perfectly. My complaint is that it takes forever to preheat. Example: I set it to preheat to 350, it beeped that is was ready after 15 minutes. I checked the temp it was only at 300 degrees. It took another 10 minutes to reach 350 for a total of 25 minutes. The item I was cooking only took 25 minutes, so I have to preheat for as long as I am cooking? Ridiculous! The other day the item I wanted to bake only required 14 minutes, so again I am preheating this long for such a brief session. Most anoyingly though, it beeps that it is ready very prematurely. I would prefer that it beep when ready. As for the "NO PRE HEAT AIR FRY"... what a joke. this function also takes a long time to preheat. When your item only takes 12 minutes or so to cook, it is obviously not done ( maybe only barely thawed) if you don't preheat for at least 20 minutes. So don't buy if you want the "no preheat" function. Also you need to buy a separate air fry basket if you need one, not included. I called service, they looked at the specs for this range and stated that's how long it takes for this oven to preheat that there is not a problem with my range. It just takes that long. I am really disappointed in this. Why would it beep that it is ready when it takes at least another 10 minutes to be near proper temp? I have oven thermometers hanging inside my brand new oven because I can't trust that it is at the proper temp. What others have said about not being able to hear/see timer is true. I set Alexa to time my cooking now which is anoying as I like to check the timer status quickly visually without having to ask her evey time that I want to know how much time I have left to cook. Also, I have a standard pot /pan set which all fit perfectly on my previous stove top. None of them seem to fit these burners so check your pan sizes of your favorite pans to be sure they fit the burners. IDK maybe it's just my pan set but they fit on my previous stovetop. I don't know if I would buy again or recommend. These are important features to me and I am disappointed. Maybe all ranges are like this in this day and age?

Broil feature is a big disappointment.

The broil function is far less powerful than our 20 year old kenmore -- I could broil beautiful fish in 6 minutes, nice carmelized exterior. This Profile is anemic, and takes forever to heat, and never really radiates enough heat from the top to brown or carmelize. The instructions tell you t preheat a broil for ten minutes -- which is the equivalent of putting your food in a 450 degree oven -- it just burns. I never right bad reviews, but have never had such buyer's remorse for a product. If you never broil or don't expect any browning, and don't want your cheese pizza to ever really bubble and brown, this is likely a good oven for you. My spouse likes the air fry feature -- it cooks the chicken nicely but again, not a lot of browning/crisping. We had the repair man out and they are going to replace the top and controller to see if that helps. The service has been good but I don't have high hopes for a fix. Honestly I would return this but my spouse doesn't want to go through it. We waited about six weeks for this oven.

We like the hidden heating element in the Oven. We do not like how hard it is to keep the Range Top clean. It shows every mark and marks easily. We do not like how the dual temperature burners work. With both burners on one knob it is very hard to find the right setting. Our older GE Range had a switch for the dual burners so it allowed a full 360 degree range for setting the temperature. We might have returned it if we had purchased it at a big box store. A nice looking stove.

Poor Timer Sound

The oven bakes wonderful, the cooktop is pretty good (never had a flat top before). My only problem with this Range is the Timer "sound" for when I use the timer and preheating th oven. The volume on this timer is very, very low. You can barely hear it. This range does not have an option to set the volume. We've had the service department out to check this out and he checked everything and there was nothing he could do to up the volume. He understood our dissatisfaction with this and he was going to have his sales manager contact GE to see what could be done.

Purchased in August of 2025, stove has been fixed three times as of March 2026. Electric panel flashes and won't shut off. Usually triggered by air fry. Service tech said GE will not replace the item, they will just continue to send someone to fix it - which takes about three weeks from placing service call to getting parts to fix. We haven't purchased the extended warranty as it seems like an unending problem with the stove. Also timer is a joke. And if you loose power, loud beep for 15 minutes.

The stove top is fine, the oven sucks. Old recipes dont bake the same.what took 32 min in my old GE now takes 36-38 min. Preheat doesn't really meet the set temp for at least 30 min bc I use an oven thermometer too. The heat varies 325-370 when set at 350. When you open the door the temp automatically drops 15-20 degrees. So between cakes I must wait at least 20 min before temp goes back up. I had my cakes down to a science. Cookies are a whole other monster. Now this new fancy thing is not all the hype!!BTW I did recalibrate +13 degrees. I wish I had my old one back. I definitely would not recommend. I am very disappointed.

I really like this range. I would give it a 5 star rating, but the timer volume is so low. I called customer service and there is no way to turn the volume up. Timer cannot be heard if in another room. I had to purchase a separate timer. With all the wifi capabilities, they need to figure how to adjust timer volume .

Oven door not closing completely.

We are disappointed that the oven door does not close all the way. It is staying open to the point where the oven light is just barely turning off. We have contacted the dealer and they are sending out a crew to hopefully make an adjustment so that the door closes completly. Also, the height of the glass cooking surface is ~ 3/4" above the standard height of our countertops. Two previous stoves have fit evenly with the countertop. The leveling feet are in the fully retracted position. Question......when broiling a steak smoke was very heavy coming out the door when I opened it to check on the steaks. The pan was on the second level down from the top and the door was closed as per the instructions but, smoke was also coming out from under the middle of the burner control panel. IS THIS NORMAL????? Burners and controls are working very well.

I do not cook much because this stove top is so hard to clean, scratches very easily, the oven takes a long time to preheat. I use GE's recommended cookware and cleaning kit. I HATE this GE Profile Range PB900YV1FS. My previous flat top stove looked better than this after 20 years, than this in less than a year. It is ridiculous. I have an over the range GE microwave, it takes a long time defrost, cook , warm up to complete.

Still undecided on latest GE Profile Range model

This replaced a prior GE Profile range that I really liked, but the burners started to malfunction. Anyhow, this GE Profile range I had for a month before the oven would randomly turn back on after shutting it off. I received a replacement that was dented and replaced that one. My issues with this model is that it only comes with 2 racks instead of 3. The AirFry doesn™€™t preheat, which sounds good, but then takes even longer to really ™€œair fry.™€ The window is not sealed with the door, it has a gap, which I can™€™t imagine should be the case. So it™€™s a love hate relationship as I have loved GE Profile in the past and I™€™m trying to love this new one rather than hate it and replace with something else as would hate to give up on GE.

Slow preheat, recipes take longer with convection

PB900YVFS cook top is good, but oven not so much. Preheat time to 350 is around 20 minutes, much slower than my old range. Website claims this model has "fast preheat", 7-10 minutes according to this article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540& but not true. Recipes take 30% longer to cook than the stated recipe time when using convection bake. My old convection oven actually cooked things fast than the recipe time. GE support phone was not helpful with this. Can these issues be addressed? I may return this range because of these issues.

Control panel light

I wish there was a red light on the control panel showing you when the oven is on. Recently I thought I had turned the oven off only to find out 2 1/2 hrs later it was still on. Not very energy efficient when this happens.

Replacement stove of similar style

I am disappointed that there is not more of a multiple dinging sound when the oven temperature reaches the preset. It only dings once and it is difficult to hear. I also am not happy with the reduced capacity of the oven storage drawer. The black finish of the burners smudged after the first use, and the marks are unable to be removed. This is a replacement stove from a similar model that I had.

Nice stove, easy to use. Preheating seems to take much longer than my previous stove. Oven and burners seem much hotter than my previous stove, I have had to shorten cooking times in the oven.

Purchased this in January 2025. Mid October 2025 when range was not 10 months old used self-cleaning feature for what I think was the 3rd time (as steam clean doesn't actually seem to clean). When I opened oven after it cooled I noticed a large glob of something on the door and glass when there was nothing there when cleaning started. Tried wiping it up but only some came off. Then noticed that the metal around the bottom of glass had warped and was standing straight up instead of curving toward glass. I believe the glob was insulation that came out of the door. Called for service which took 8 days to arrive and did not use the oven while waiting. When service arrived parts had to be ordered (new inside glass, inside door, and don't know what else). Another week without use of oven. It is now repaired but service tech advised NOT to use self-clean as this would probably happen again. He advised getting a liner for bottom of oven. So most expense appliance in kitchen is also most grossly overpriced appliance as not all features should be used without damage. Would not recommend this to anyone! On top of all that, there are now numerous smudges and dirt between the outside and inside glass which I cannot clean as the door would need to be disassembled to clean it. Miss my 24 year old Kenmore range which, in retrospect, I'm sorry I did not have repaired!! It worked great right until the end (including self-clean) , but just needed new gasket around inside of door and other minor issues.

Classy Modern Range

PROS: I really like this classy looking range. I have only had it three weeks but have cooked many times on it. I really like the oven for baking at exact temperatures. The air fryer is my favorite feature for quickly giving a crisp golden brown top at the end of baking. CONS: 1. When ever I cook with the burners, there is a definite "mark/streak" where the pans have sat even after burner cools. I can only get the mark out after EACH time cooking with a smooth top cleaning cream. It is an easy fix to keep the top nice looking but still a hassle. I use different pans, so not sure why this happens. (2) The timer is barely audible. I have to use my phone timer as the range timer is so quiet. Small problems for such a nice range.
