What a waste

This is the worst purchase ever. It takes a whole day sometimes more to do one standard load of laundry. The machine has stopped working twice. Contacted customer support since we were within warranty and was ignored. My clothes always smell musty and remain wrinkled. Were considering selling it so we can purchase something else and I would much rather throw it away if we had the means for another machine. This is a cause of stress and disappointment and will be my last LG purchase ever. Terrible machine dont waste your money time or sanity.

Poorly assembled screws that should be removable are tightened so tight they strip instead of coming out. Which puts stress on the cheap piece of plastic causing it to crack.

My dryer is three months old and no longer heats. It is under warranty but unfortunately LG gives you the runaround and makes you jump through hoops eventually telling you they have a service request opened when you call a few days later that is not the case. I have now paid $220 to have my duct cleaned on their recommendation and still cant get them out here to make the repair. Consumer affairs has many negative reviews stating the exact same issue. Sounds like an item that needs to be recalled but they continue to sell it to unknown victims.

Horrible service Do not order through LG

I have no idea what the dryer is like because the delivery and servicing process has been so horrible. I still do not have a functioning driver. Instructions say I will be able to review the installation or delivery later on but no option came up so here it is: 1 though I ordered the dryer the stacking kit and the duct vent kit at the same time on the same webpage through LG. All three arrived through different means. The system had me accepting delivery without having the parts in place. I spent a long time trying to contact the delivery to have this changed so that all pieces would be in place. The stacking kit arrived with the screws and 1/3 of the parts missing. The delivery company that LG used did not install the duct vent kit though it was handed to them. And they could not install it properly because of the missing parts of the stacking kit. To reschedule and have them come back when I had the new stacking kit which I had to purchase and I will only get refunded for the one that is incomplete once it is boxed up and shipped back to the company. Scheduling them to come back was an exercise in frustration. They do not understand that people have to work and cannot be at home in the middle of the day and they cannot schedule according to a persons availability. Though they supposedly made notes on my delivery in the system the delivery people still came when I was at work. I suggest that if you want to buy an LG product you order through a local appliance store but not this huge company

Sub par product sub par support and zero service

Broke a year and a month after warranty expired. Customer support offered no assistance and said there was nothing they can do. They recommended we call our gas company because it wouldnt heat. After finding a third party on our own to repair. It was diagnosed that the heating element went bad. Having to shell out 400$ to repair after laughable support. I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live. These guys wont be in business long if this is how they do business in 2025.

Really poor service support from LG

I had very bad experience with my order. I placed an order for washer dryer on lg.com for my new house. The installer confirmed they tested and it works fine. I took more than a month to move. And when i started using it it wasnt working it kept throwing d80 error. The code itself is an indicator of blocking in vent. I looked at the filter vent going out and everything was fine. So i called lg sent some pictures and they said the installation was not done correctly a flexible duct was used and what should have been used was a rigid or semi rigid duct. Issue 1 In spite of lg confirming it was installed correctly they first denied service since i am reporting it after 30 days i believe i reported on day 50 or so due to moving delays. I pushed back because this was their dealers that should have known recommended installation steps. Isssue 2 lg and installers are separate parties I expected customer support to represent me and pursue the dealer for better service. Instead they were just initiating a case and left it to me to follow up. And ofcourse having these dependecies and call transfers resulted in multiple call drops. Issue 3 there are no SLA on when the issues are resolved. They promised someone would call within 24 hours no one does. Now they say someone would call in 2 hours which i am having trouble believing. The product may be good time will tell but the service was so bad and i highly recommend staying away from lg.com online orders. Dealing with Costco would be so much better

The worst customer service experience

Cannot talk about the unit since I couldnt get it installed as LG sent me a wrong power cord. I just wasted 2+ hours getting directed between different departments verifying my order # and personal information and explaining the issue I have again again and again without getting the issue fixed. Seriously LG this is the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had. I called the Order support department and they directed me to the tech support department since only they can process the request for the correct parts. Then the tech support staff told me they dont have access to my order and its the Order support teams job to send me the right cord. I talked to the support team again and the agent told me a three-spike cord is the standard and I need to purchase my own if I want a four-spike cord. I was quite sure I received the four-spike cord thats why the installation technician couldnt install the unit but I had to come home to check. Turned out that LG did send me the four-prong power cord. So I had to call again and wasted another hour getting directed to the parts department and a few more god-knows-what-departments to learn that it is the order support department that can help me. Seriously LG do a better job.

Its fine. Does what I need it to. Ill need to reinstall it myself and add the water supply due to improper installation. Customer service has been silent after I informed them the installer crushed the flex vent with the gas line. Its now a fire hazard. Apparently thats OK. Ill need to purchase another vent non-flex and reinstall. They also failed to run water to the unit. Just do it yourself or pay for someone else to do it. LG cant be trusted.

Only offers high heat settings

Dryer looks great and has high capacity. But there are extremely limited programmed and downloaded cycles for this model. If you want a dryer that uses very high heat this is your dryer. However if you dont want all of your clothes shrunk and want to actually use one of their high tech cycles buy a different LG model Even the normal setting is super hot. Ive reached out to customer support but this model only really offers 1 low heat cycle. They suggested using the timed dryer setting...so whats the point of all of the features? Check out the LG DLEX6700B / DLEX6700W or LG DLEX8900B / DLEX8900W instead if you dont want to buy a whole new wardrobe. And LG please offer additional downloaded cycles for this model

Installation of LG dryer DLEX4000B

Good dryer but pathetic installation service. The guy came in and broke the dryer duct and could not connect to my brand new recessed dryer vent. Ended up bending the vent such that it is not circular anymore and will have to bring someone to fix. LG can do better with installation. I will never buy directly from LG. Pathetic service .

My new dryer was installed today. Ive already run two loads of laundry through it and everything is working well. Its too soon to rate the dryer but I have one tip for future buyers. If you need for your dryer to vent on the side you must provide a side venting kit for the installer to install. A side venting kit IS NOT INCLUDED. The third-party service used by LG has shown incompetence and their customer support reflects this. There have been several cancellations and misleading texts indicating upcoming cancellations followed by a confirmation text two hours later. When the technician arrived they did not have all the necessary accessories to install the equipment properly. I have contacted both LG and ROXO multiple times to complete the installation I paid for. Based on this experience I am reconsidering future online purchases from them.

This is the worst big purchase Ive ever made. I regret purchasing all LG Appliances for my home specifically because of this clunky loud piece of garbage dryer. Customer service is an absolute joke and the repair companies are even worse. Its like to add that my unit is less than 2 months old and had issues out of the box and LG refuses to address them. Stay away from this dryer unless you want a loud heartbeat thump of a drum that you can hear through the whole house. LG claims the thumping is normal- must be a new feature for the LG dryers because weve never experienced this on older models. Straight trash.

Bought from Lowes and paid for delivery plus the kit to stack paid in cash . The Lowes guy didnt give me the stack kit to take home so when delivered it couldnt be stacked and it took me several days to retrieve kit and get help to lift dryer up and install it and it was the steam unit costing me 100 dollars to pay for help this of course was not LGs fault.the washer however had a defect leaking water into tub I reported it right away its been a month but not repaired .. was told that it would be replaced .only after my 4 th call . This is the 4 th set of lgs Ive had until this they all were perfect I buy a new pair when I move . I still will buy them . Repair is a simple one but since I live in a very rural area it has no service reps .

Ive had it a few weeks. So far its drying adequately and I was pleased with the bedding setting that allowed me to get my comforter dried in much less time than my previous dryer. I wish the light would come on whenever I opened the door. Ill never need or use most of the high tech features.

I purchased on 11/20/24 and it was delivered 11/30/25 shipping and delivery was pretty fast. The items delivered to my new house and because I was out of state my brother meet them and accepted deliver. The deliver company set them up only to find out I ordered the wrong pedestals. When I got the new pedestals about 30 days later after I finished my move I had to install them. Upon moving the dryer it was discovered that the washers Right rear corner had major damage to the panel. There is no way the delivery guys did not see it and made sure my brother did not either. Lg said it was passed my 14 days and was out of luck.

Not installed correctly. It is missing all accessories and the door doesnt shut tight. Now we had to schedule another date to finish bringing some of the missing accessories and hooking the dryer up for steam. Its the only date he would give me but we have to leave by noon. So according to the asociate Ill have to reschedule if we cross paths that day. The door is also loose by almost inch even when it runs. The chat person didnt even care to address that. The delivery process was terrible. The company changed my delivery date without my knowledge. I waited two different days and nothing. Finally a week later it was delivered and the delivery company refused to change the side of the dryer door the way the dryer opens in my laundry room is wrong. They said I have to contact LG for service. There is no direct number or email for service so its been 4 weeks now and its hard to use the dryer.

Customer service is abysmal. We ordered a sidekick washer dryer and pedestal. Without telling us they discontinued the sidekick and after almost 2.5 months we still dont have the appliances. After calling customer service we received the typical we are sorry. You need to buy a new pedestal. However if the pedestal is delivered separately arrived via mail not deliverythen we will have to dismantle everything then lift the washer or dryer. I used to recommend LG... Im now a fan of Samsung

Ordered on 9/11 and promised delivery on 9/17. Was not delivered and multiple times later it was installed on 9/29 with missing parts used old appliance parts. Spent 3-5 hours on the phone with no resolution to the issues. Unclear if the appliance is reliable or not since we just received it. However what ever future service or repairs we might need I fear will be the same horrible experience so far. I should have read all the horrible customer service stories before purchasing. Be warned
